Treat your tattoo with patience and care—because great art deserves the right healing journey.

Clean & Protect the Fresh Tattoo

The first few hours after getting your tattoo are crucial for proper healing. Remove the bandage after 1–2 hours once you are in a clean environment and ready to care for the area. Always begin by washing your hands thoroughly before touching your tattoo.

Gently wash the tattoo using clean water and mild soap to remove excess ink or dried blood. Avoid rubbing the skin. Instead, lightly cleanse the area and pat it dry using a clean tissue or paper towel. Keeping the tattoo clean from the beginning helps prevent irritation and infection.

Maintain Cleanliness During Early Healing

For the first 24–48 hours, repeat the cleaning process several times a day to keep the tattoo free from sweat, dirt, and bacteria. Washing the tattoo regularly allows the skin to breathe and supports the natural healing process.

After the first day, wash your tattoo at least three times daily, especially if the area becomes sweaty or exposed to dust. Consistency during these early days ensures the tattoo remains healthy while the skin begins repairing itself.

Moisturize & Protect While Healing

After 3–4 days, once the tattoo begins settling into the skin, apply a thin layer of moisturizer such as Nivea Creme or Cetaphil to keep the skin hydrated. Moisturizing prevents excessive dryness and supports smooth healing.

Continue caring for the tattoo daily for 2–3 weeks until the skin has fully healed. Avoid scratching or peeling the tattoo, do not swim or soak the area in water, limit sun exposure, and avoid intense workouts that stretch the tattooed skin during the first week.
